Dr Lewis has extensive experience in a broad range of General Practice that he has now brought to Coín.
Dr Lewis started the Coín private practice in August 2002 to offer traditional general practice services largely for the ex-pat community in the area of Coín and its environs.
Since his arrival in Spain he also works at a practice in San Pedro de Alcántara where he has forged personal contacts with many English speaking and frequently English trained colleagues to whom he is happy to refer patients for more specialist treatment.On occasions he may refer patients to one of the public hospitals or health centres if he feels that would be more appropriate for optimal healthcare.
His aim is to provide 24-hour personal contact with himself via the telephone and consultations as appropriate either in the surgery or in your home.He has over 30 years experience of general practice both in the UK and in Australia. He is used to providing acute and ongoing care for asthma, diabetes, thyroid disease, hypertension, mental illness including depression, musculo-skeletal conditions, childhood diseases and in general all conditions which have traditionally been looked after by a general practitioner including minor surgery and suturing. His longterm interest in sports medicine as well as dealings with professional rugby players and athletes has given him in depth skills for all types of sporting as well as every day injuries.
